Welcome to my blog! My name is Alexander Ullah, and I am a Lead Solution Engineer for Kubernetes at VMware. I started working with VMware products when GSX (aka Ground Strom X) was still around and began specializing in VMware products in 2008. Back then, I managed a consolidation project for my former employer based on ESX 3.0 (aka Elastic Sky X). I joined VMware’s Professional Service Organization in 2011 as a Technical Account Manager. A lot has changed since the good old consolidation and P2V times. It is not only about compute virtualization anymore, but it is also about network and storage virtualization, hyper-converged infrastructure, hybrid and multi-cloud management, intelligent operations, container, cloud-native applications, and much more. In this blog, I would like to share my experience while trying new technologies, products, or solutions. Over time, I hope this will become a collection of content that helps people in IT provide that crucial elasticity needed in today’s fast-moving digital world.
